A second type two. It's stock has the normal wear seen on a firearm of this age. The metal exhibits minor pitting and a smooth even patina. The rifling is present with only minor pitting of the bore. The manufacturer, Carl Heiser, is present on the barrel but faint. The bayonet fits easily on the barrel and matches the rifle to pair it up nicely. Lorenz rifle muskets are getting very difficult to find in non-attic condition, along with bayonets that pair up to them. This would be a lovely firearm for a reenactor or collector!
